/ about the author

Hi, I’m Kiernan.

I write domestic and psychological thrillers — quiet, careful books about marriage, neighbours, family, and the small moments where a reader stops, flips back, and reads the page again.

My books are short by genre standards. They are written to be finished in a weekend and started again on Monday. The plot is on the surface. The story is underneath. The reader who comes back for the second pass is the reader these books are for.

When I’m not writing, I am reading evidence transcripts, listening to investigative journalism, and arguing — quietly, at the back of every dinner party — that the most frightening setting in fiction is a kitchen at eight in the morning.
